"Sasseo" Salento Primitivo IGT 2021 - Masseria Altemura

Deep ruby ​​red, intense aromas of plums and red fruit jam. On the palate it is soft, enveloping, with excellent persistence.

Pairs well with typical dishes from Puglia, such as purèed broad beans with chicory, grilled red meats, roast lamb, and medium-matured cheeses.

Its name is reminiscent of the white limestone rocks that emerge like mirrors of light from the red soil of the Estate's vineyards. The unique style of this Primitivo is a perfect combination of freshness and softness.The velvety effect is achieved thanks to a slight overripening of a percentage of the grapes, which increases its pleasantness and enriches its aromatic spectrum. Sasseo ages for 12 months in large Slavonian barrels and for another 6 months in the bottle.
