Poggio Le Coste

Asti is a land that has been recognized for centuries as a symbol of Italian viticulture and enology, famous worldwide for its wines of excellent quality. It is in this extraordinary region that Poggio Le Coste is located. The history of the estate, which preserves an unparalleled cultural heritage, is deeply connected to the local traditions passed down through the centuries. The cultivation of vines was introduced to Piedmont by the Celts (4th–3rd century BC), following the Etruscan tradition of using climbing plants, the arbustum, supported by living trees such as poplars, elms, or maples. With the arrival of the Romans (1st century BC), the cultivation of fine varieties was further enhanced.

Today, the estate, an authentic expression of Piedmontese culture, is dedicated to enhancing the prestigious native grape varieties of the region, such as Barbera, Dolcetto, Moscato d'Asti, and Grignolino, which in this area, historically considered the "Cru" par excellence, express the finest characteristics of these varietals.
